2021 Metro Carvers of Michigan Show
The 40th Annual Metro Show was originally scheduled for March of 2020. Covid19 mandated gathering restrictions rescheduled the event first to March of 2021, then to mid-Oct 2021 and finally to a new venue at the end of Oct 2021. The 2021 Metro Show was well received by the carving community. As usual, the carving competition featured high quality entries as can be seen below.
Competition Winners
At the 2021 Metro woodcarving show there were 22 carvers that submitted 78 carvings for judging. The three judges were Floyd Rhadigan, Chet Schneider, and Bob Schroder. The first, second and third best of show awards were selected from the 33 first place category winners. The best of show was a pair of wood ducks by Bill Ebinger, 2nd best of show was a Koy fish by Bob Snyder, and 3rd best of show was a caricature of Lincoln by James Shock.

The People’s Choice had three carvings that were voted as winners. The 1st people’s choice was a mallard duck by Donald S. Miller, 2nd people’s choice was a relief of Lincoln on a flag background by James Shock, and the 3rd people’s choice was Camelot Castle with a Dragon by Bob Schroder.
